Enrolment

Largs Bay School offers students a caring and nurturing learning environment

Government schools have one intake per year, in Term 1, for children starting primary school.

A child who turns 5 years of age before 1st May can start primary school at the beginning of the year. A child who turns 5 years of age on or after 1st May can start primary school the next school year. A child must be enrolled at a school by their sixth birthday. It’s recommended a child who will turn 6 years of age during the school year, start school on the first day of Term 1 of that school year.

As one of several schools across in the Le Fevre Partnership , we have agreed enrolment protocols and timelines. These protocols include families making contact with their zoned primary school in the first instant.

Please complete an Enrolment Request Form and return it via email to dl.0219.info@schools.sa.edu.au or submit at the front office.

We further require you to provide verification that confirms your eligibility to enrol your child. As we are a zoned school, the verification primarily is related to your child’s primary place of residence.

The documents we require include:

Proof of child’s age

  • Birth Certificate or Passport.

If you own your home:

  • copy of contract of sale for the property or recent council rates notice, and
  • recent gas or electricity bill for that property.

If you rent your home:

  • rental agreement. The rental agreement should cover at least the first 12 months of your child attending the school (i.e. the 2023 school year), and
  • bond receipt lodged with Consumer and Business Services showing the current place of residence, and
  • recent gas or electricity bill for that property.

If you hold a visa:

  • a copy of your visa (if relevant).  Please note, in regard to a visa, enrolment is subject to certain conditions, which may include payment of student fees.
