Parent engagement survey

All parents should have now received a direct link (unique to our school) via email or SMS to the parent engagement survey. The survey will be open for 3 weeks and a reminder email or SMS will also be sent before the survey closes on 25 September. Please complete the survey and encourage others to do the same. The data will help inform our school improvement planning to best meet the needs of all students and families in 2021 and beyond.

Helping our OSHC & out of school hours sports providers

We are fortunate to have a wonderful Out of School Hours Care service at Warradale Primary School, which supports a significant number of our families and parents. To help our OSHC staff exercise their duty of care responsibilities, we kindly ask students not in OSHC to not interact or interfere with OSHC activities. Students not booked into OSHC should only be on site after school hours under the supervision of a parent/caregiver. Similarly, if your child participates in one of our out of school hours sports teams, a parent/guardian should be present at all training and games, unless otherwise arranged with the coach/coordinator.

Sports Day – Thursday 24 September

Plans for our modified sports day were shared with our Governing Council on Monday night, including intent to engage a photographer to capture the day for parents and families. The canteen will be offering a special lunch day, with students able to order a sports day “show bag” for their lunch at 1pm. If your child has a chronic health condition, please contact the school to discuss how we can best support them to participate on the day.

2021 Class Placement

Planning for 2021 class structures has begun. Parents requests need to be received in writing to Robyn.Terlikowski298@schools.sa.edu.au with the subject heading “2021 class placement” by no later than 3.00pm Friday 16 October 2020 (T4W1). Students will have the opportunity to identify peers they would prefer to be placed with as part of the process. We can never guarantee that all requests will be met, but we value respectful collaboration and kindly ask that all parents/caregivers trust this process and the professional judgement of our educators.

Western oval play area upgrade

Redevelopment of our nature play area on our Western Oval is almost complete. The expanded sandpit area, permanent teepee structures for cubby building, water element, natural edging and integrated seating nodes will provide our students and classes with some exciting new active learning opportunities, and will also be available to students and staff in our OSHC service out of school hours.
