Remembrance Day has been observed since the end of the First World War to remember armed forces members who have died in the line of duty. Hostilities formally ended “at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month”. Like many people across the world, we hold one minute silence to show respect to the substantial number of soldiers who died in battle.
